The Troop Taylor Band is an original country band from Oklahoma City, OK. Colliding together from different bands, the Troop Taylor Band brings a fresh sound to country music. Although they are a new and upcoming band, they are not new to the music scene. With close ties to members of indie bands The Notionaries and Abandon Kansas, the Troop Taylor Band is inspired by country music as well as various genres from different areas. Shortly after the band's formation, the Troop Taylor Band was introduced to Graham Colton, a singer/songwriter from Oklahoma City, OK who has been very successful in the alternative rock music scene. Graham, who also collaborated with Blackwatch Studios, participated in recording and producing the Troop Taylor Band's first, self-titled EP. Upon release of the EP in late September 2014, the Troop Taylor Band gained new fans and maintained previous ones with the variation of songs as well as the EP's single, The Night Is Young. An early accomplishment shortly after the release of the self-titled EP, the Troop Taylor Band became the 2014 KEYB Country Showdown Local Winners with a live performance of two original songs from the self-titled EP. With original music inspired by various genres from each musician, the Troop Taylor Band hopes to fulfill their dream of being successful in the music industry while connecting to fans with a different style of country music as well as memorable live performances.
