Barbara Lewis / Bio

A long-time singer/songwriter, Barbara is happy to be known as a "singer's/singer." Her wide vocal range reminds listeners of both Anne Murray (for her low notes), and Judy Collins (for her expressive upper range.) Barbara performs concerts and one-woman theatrical shows. Her last original theatre-work, Crossroads, finished with a 3-week run at the Centaur Theatre in Montreal. Currently, Barbara is performing a concert called "Passionate Heart," (a tribute to the songs of Joni Mitchell & Leonard Cohen). Upcoming concerts include appearances in California, (Carmel, Pebble Beach), Vancouver, BC, and London, Ontario (at The Aeolian Hall).

Barbara is a featured singer & vocal coach in a highly anticipated documentary that will be aired on CBC in August, 2014. She performs with juno-nominated musicians and principle instrumentalists from the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. She has recorded 6 CDs. Several of her music videos play regularly on television (PBS) in the U.S.

Barbara's hobby is latin-dance. She is currently learning Spanish.
