Mad Gallica, previously known as Dylan Linehan, began studying classical piano at age seven crediting her favorite composers Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, and Chopin (to name a few) as some of her greatest teachers and inspirations. Her first album released through Dylan Linehan, “Pericardium,” was released March 13th, 2013. It is a selection of songs written from the heart over the previous five years. Mad Gallica's music is an original blend of sounds she likes to call "rock popera," with a strong base of classical elements. She has scored several short films and her first feature film, “Don’t Know Yet."
Mad Gallica's music has been reviewed by Karmic Fury Records as a “blend of theatrical, rock opera, classical, a sprinkling of pop, and a whole lot of “wow” thrown in…Linehan’s voice can go from a subtle whisper to operatic bellowing within a single phrase, all while her hands deftly navigate the keyboard. Her piano playing is exceptional, and it’s wonderful to see a singer this good not sacrificing her musicianship for the sake of vocals. Linehan’s music is pure jaw-dropping magic."
