Born in Nigeria "BUKI" grew up in a musically oriented home, she began her musical career at the tender age of ten and her first performance was in a Catholic Church in which her mother was the choir director for Latin Hymns at the time. Even as a child "BUKI" knew she wanted to sing but little did she know what would await her as her vision to sing leads the way.
After her High school education at the age of seventeen she continued with her studies . Away from home for the first time "BUKI" seriously started thinking about working harder on her musical career because she knew now more than ever that she wanted to sing! On the night out to celebrate her graduation from College " BUKI" visited one of the most successful spots for singing at the time, she got the job after singing "You give good love" from Whitney Houston (to entertain her friends). She sang there for four years, in that time she met African Mega stars like Angelique Kidjo, the late Papa Wemba, Kofi Olomide just to mention a few. Determined to reach her goal "BUKI" decided to relocate to Germany to pursue her vision. Parallel to her music career, BUKI went back to school and graduated as a " geriatric nurse". BUKI spent over a decade making music with European and American finest musicians . During her stay in Europe "BUKI" sang on stage with European and American mega stars such as Sir Elton John, Chris de Burgh , R.Kelly, Zucchero, Lutricia Mcneal , Soultans , Xavier Naidoo, DJ Boo (known for his remix with Irene Cara, Flashdance) just to name a few . After having three very successful seasons at Germany's second best show "FANTISSIMA in PHANTASIALAND", Buki relocated to the USA. In 2013 Buki's song "A Better World" was #1 on the reverbnation charts for several weeks. Currently "BUKI" has performed for radio shows in West Hollywood and still remains on the top 100 of the reverbnation charts with songs like "TRUST" and "Way Back Home".
