RedLine -- noun\red-līn\
A recommended safety limit; the fastest, farthest, or highest point or degree considered safe; also: the red line which marks this point on a gauge.
RedLine is a musical powerhouse based in the greater metropolitan DC area. Their roots date back as far as 1986 when the band was first formed. Co-founding members Todd and Pete Muranaka are still the heart and soul of this vibrant six-piece band. “Play it like you mean it” is the motto RedLine lives by. Every tune is performed in just that way, with heart, soul and a little bit of funk when needed.
All of the current members have come to RedLine from diverse musical backgrounds and have performed all over the country at different times in their careers. A short list of these would include The Washington Redskins own Gary Clark show (a 16 week run), The Barns at Wolf Trap, radio Station WMAL’s “Gross National Parade” and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The members of RedLine are professionals in the music business. In both 2008 & 2009, RedLine headlined the city of Rockville’s 4th of July Fireworks Celebration which was attended by over 30,000 people.
Recent new venues include The Fillmore in Silver Spring.
The band has a loyal fan base, an active mailing list, a new and improved web site and is active on both Facebook and Twitter.
