Before moving to Jackson, TN from Kalamazoo, MI (hometown of Gibson Guitars), Mutual Live played numerous shows in the Ann Arbor and East Lansing areas for college students that craved a modern edge to their favorite rock classics. Bob Seger, Waylon, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Robert Johnson, and SRV, are few of Mutual Live's influences creating a new genre of music in which they thrive--Southern Grunge. Possessing the ability to amp up or acoustic down, the variety of their set brings a complete listening experience to the audience. Having released an album in early 2013, the band continues to write songs while performing covers with a southern grunge style. Mutual Live's founding members, Dan Drogosh and Zack Mutual, have been writing songs for the band since 2010 and are looking forward to push the band to a higher caliber. Their new album self titled Mutual Live, displays a wide variety of different tones and feelings. Musical influences such as Alice and Chains and Pearl Jam can be heard on tracks "Cold Day in Hell" and "Janimine". Balancing the album with tracks, "Strange How It Feels" and "I Get Off On You", brings pleasure to the lighter rock listeners.
This band is fresh, young and out for blood amidst the rock airwaves. Watch out! These guys are rockin' up a storm....southern grunge style.
