The Warner Gear / Bio

After laying low, we have returned with a new line up and new songs! Expect 2013 to be one of our strongest years yet...

The last couple of years have been good for our little group. Since forming early in 2005, hiding out in "the coop" and writing tunes, we finally released "All My Sins" in June of 2006. It was a pretty warm reception, actually. From there, we were honored by being a part of great events such as the Midwest Music Summit and the Franklin Folk Festival, with other shows in between. And since then, we've had the pleasure to play with excellent bands, among them Devil In A Woodpile (Bloodshot Records).

Our history isn't all that amazing. Gwen, Paul and Wayne got the whole project going, writing what we thought were some hilljack anthems. After Ryan stopped in, he polished us up a little bit, and we were ready to take the thing public. Cara Jean Marcy was a great addition to our group playing some accordion; and Ben Hodges and Scott Tolley were both key drummers takin' the place of Paul while he set sail around the world for a bit. Matt Thomas is our newest addition, taking on the daunting task of both bass and fiddle.

Spring is here, the thawing has just begun!
