Guys on the Hill is a three piece punk band from San Diego, Ca that officially formed in 2013. Members include Todd Dulawan (guitar/vox), Brandon Lounsbury (bass/vox), and Geoff Dulawan (drums). All three members previously played in different bands leading up to Guys on the Hill. Among those projects were Dogmatic, Changingnames, and Strike the Design. While GOTH's first performance happened in 2013, the concept of the group actually began back in the mid 1990's while Todd & Geoff were playing in Changingnames. As a side project, the two brothers went into Goldentrack Studio in San Diego and recorded 16 songs that were never released to the public, but in 1998 the collection of songs was given the name "Guys on the Hill". So, the engine was built back in the 90's, but no one turned over the ignition until 2013. After years of playing in various projects, Todd, Geoff, and Brandon came together in a few random jam sessions. With no real band concept or direction in mind, the new trio found themselves reflecting back to all of the things that inspired them to make music to begin with...things that stem far beyond just going through the motions of writing and recording songs and trying to keep up with the ever changing musical landscape of pop culture. When it comes to music and participating in a band, Guys on the Hill values comradery in and outside of the studio. GOTH's sound is influenced by many of the great bands of the genre spanning decades of memorable music. From pioneering groups such as The Clash to modern day shredders like This is a Standoff, all the way to long-lived icons like Bad Religion, it is the attitude and urgency of this genre as a whole that inspires GOTH toward one very simple goal... to play three chords and go for broke!
