The Coco Butter Band / Press

“I recently had the chance to see The Coco Butter band in Kansas City at Knuckleheads Saloon. They were the opening act for Trampled Under Foot. TUF was having their album release party and the new album was debuting No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Charts. The Crowd was a buzz, ready to see their hometown hero’s. Not a invariable spot for a opening act, but after a song or two the Coco Butter Band had that crowd eating out of their hand, including me. Their fresh approach to funk, blues and soul was not only refreshing it was spellbinding. I have since had the opportunity to listen to their new EP, it not only captures their magnificent voices and musicianship it also captures their charisma. If you are looking for a great act for your club, party or festival do yourself and your crowd a favor and book these guys! They will be a mainstay on my radio show. I’m a fan! If I can answer any questions please feel free to contact me.”

“The Coco Butter Band is an original 2-man blues/funk/soul band based out of Phoenixville who perform all over the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. The band features Liam Bouterre on keyboards/vocals and his brother Coco on drums/vocals. After years of playing as "musicians for hire" in various bands, in April of 2013 Liam and Coco decided to form their own band with Liam playing bass lines and soloing on the organ and Coco holding down the groove, all while singing. They are currently in the process of taking over the Philly original music scene playing many popular music venues, local festivals, and bars. Their talent and infectious groove was noticed by internationally touring blues/rock band, Trampled Under Foot (TUF), who invited them to open for their CD release party in Kansas City for 1,200 fans and to sit in with them at The House of Blues in Chicago. Coco Butter Band's goal is to continue to write great music for great people.”
