When you ask Richard Anthony what he has done, he will answer with what he has not. His philosophy is that as a person and musician, he never can do enough. It is this attitude that drives his music and his life.
Richard Anthony is an up and coming Folk Rock artist recently imported to Nashville, TN from Long Island, New York. With influences like Mumford and Sons, Delta Rae and Ed Sheeran, he blends a combination of American and European folk music into his songs. He brings a high energy and passion to the stage wherever he goes, captivating audiences with broad shifts of dynamics and mood.
He is currently recording songs for his upcoming EP “Gold Rush”, which is a very introspective look at Rich’s experiences and internal struggles. In a nutshell, he wants the EP to speak to “anyone who has ever felt that they had nothing to offer”. During the recording process, he is diligently integrating himself into the Nashville music scene, playing shows and open mics, and meeting and collaborating with local musicians.
Recently, Richard has moved to sunny Lakeland, FL while he works towards completing his degree in Music Business. In his past experiences as the bass player for the indie rock band A Sound Asleep, who called Lakeland home, Richard learned much about the area and is excited to share his music with the city.
