The Moxies / Bio

The Moxies draw from classic influences from Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Etta James, to modern artists such as Jack White, Cold War Kids, Arctic Monkeys and Cage the Elephant. Because the band’s sound is shaped by decades of rock, they appeal to audiences of all ages.

In 2012, The Moxies really captured the attention of the Cleveland music scene performing a sold out event at The Beachland Ballroom. Attending that night was A&R Veteran Kim Stephens (Atlantic Records, Capitol Music Group), who signed them to a management contract under his company Forward Entertainment.

The band released their second EP in 2013 receiving heavy airplay on Cleveland's Sound 87.7 with their singles 'Nightcrawler' and 'Be Fast Be Smooth'.

The Moxies have since performed on FOX 8 Cleveland, The Quicken Loans Arena, The Cleveland Browns Stadium, signed a publishing deal with Round Hill Music, and in September of 2014 have moved to Nashville to develop material for their debut album with producer Marti Fredericksen. Fredericksen is a record producer and songwriter who is best known for his work with Aerosmith, Gavin Rossdale, Carrie Underwood, Buckcherry, Daughtry, Ozzy Osbourne and Faith Hill..
