Brian Kelley / Bio

Brian Kelley aka “BK” was born and raised in Arkansas deep in the Ouachita Mountains. Traditional country music roots were a strong part of Brian’s family growing up. Both of Brian’s parents were singers and performed at different events in Arkansas. His mother performed regularly on the Louisiana Hayride. Some of Brian’s earliest memories were of him performing Hank Williams, Sr. on stage even as early as 5 years old. Brian wrote his first song in his teenage years and even held his first paying gig at a local Moose Lodge.
Brian had the honor of sharing a live stage with Box Car Willie at the age of 17 performing a classic hit the Wabash Cannon Ball and duplicating Box Car Willie’s famous “train whistle”. Brian is well known and very talented for his ability to perform the “train whistle”.
Brian played local venues in the Hot Springs area for several years. Some of his more notable engagements include his regular performances on the Columbia County Hayride KZHE radio station 100.5 FM in Magnolia, Arkansas and on the Oaklawn Opry based out of Texarkana, Texas. In 2008 Brian won 1st place in the local level of the Colgate Country Showdown and received 2nd place honors at the State level. Brian opened for Justin Moore in 2009 at a St. Jude’s benefit in Bismark, Arkansas.
Brian moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2010 where he is now based as a talented singer/songwriter. Since moving, Brian has played local venues including the Blue Bird, The Listening Room, The Commodore Lounge and several others such as Tootsies & The Stage.
Brian has worked with Mark Riddick, a successful producer/engineer, on a project for the Military to Medicine, which is a non-profit organization. The project was a film and video dedicated to the military spouses to help raise money for relocation and support. Brian also performed a concert in Washington, DC at the Walter Reed Center on September 11th, 2010 for the wounded warriors. Some of the music singles are now available for purchase online.
Brian possesses an authentic gift for not only songwriting and singing but also performing with a passion that makes his music real and is sure to captivate an audience like no other!
