Mitchell Truen / Bio

Mitchell has been a dedicated musician for over 30 years. His influences vary from classic rock to blues, jazz and beyond. Throughout his extensive career he has played with such names as Walter Becker from Steely Dan, World class guitarist and instrumentalist Rob Balducci currently signed by Steve Vai's record label Favored Nations, Randy Coven bass player and instrumentalist featured on several full length albums including Yngwie Malmsteen, John McLaughlin, Leslie West of Mountain, and various others.

Mitchell is not only a guitarist, drummer, bass player, and performer, but a dedicated instructor and musical mentor to other musicians young and old alike. His greatest motivation to inspire his students to excel, stems from his extensive musical backround and his own desire to succeed in the study and art of music. He has studied guitar extensively with instructors such as Joe Monk (Jazz), Howard Morgan (Jazz), Al Petrelli of Trans Siberian Orchestra, and Rob Balducci, with academic experience at Berklee College of Music Boston, MA, and Five Towns Music School in Dix Hills, NY.

Mitchell’s current musical projects include a solo guitar-based instrumental album, and an additional album with his current all-original hard-rock band. Operation of a fully capable analog/digital recording studio, based out of his home in Langhorne, PA, allows him the freedom to write, record, and produce his own material as well as the music of other artists.
