Bobby Schaefer / Bio

After receiving his Masters in Criminology in 2004, Bobby Schaefer decided to take a break from reality at the age of 24 and spend a summer in beautiful Priest Lake, ID where he had spent his younger years. It was there he picked up a guitar and taught himself to play. Basking in the serenity & inspiration of mother nature's favorite daughter, his passion for music was born & one summer turned into over a decade. Bobby has now been performing solo acoustic gigs at Priest Lake's amazing local bars & resorts for the past eight years and has begun to branch out all over the northwest. His raw and raspy sound coupled with his gift for songwriting propel him to the top of the singer/songwriter genre. He recorded his first CD, "Beneath the Dragon Tree", in 2013 with solo vocals and a beat up acoustic guitar. Since then he has worked with other talented musicians across the nation turning his solo sound into a full band project. His talents shine in "Stand to Stay" and "The Lake Song", which are not just odes to his hometown but an example of his ear pleasing spectrum of style and his ability to portray the beautiful relationship between words and music. His unique acoustic covers range anywhere from Bob Dylan to Prince to Vanilla Ice and his show stopping versions of "Old Man" by Neil Young & "Hurt" by Johnny Cash via Nine Inch Nails exude intense emotion & passion while his mashup of "No Diggity", "Dream On", "Father Figure" & "Thrift Shop" will get you out of your seat and on the dance floor. New, different, passionate & true...Bobby Schaefer is an up-and-coming, can't miss singer/songwriter and, most of all, a breath of fresh air in this often stale & monotonous era of music...Make time to witness music in its purest form, you will not regret it...until then...
