Mia Rose (London, January 26 of 1988),  stage name of Maria Antonia Sampaio Rosa, is a singer- songwriter-Portuguese English who achieved success through the video sharing site YouTube, where she quickly rose to the top of "most viewed" artists and became the most subscribed singer of all time. With over 254,700 subscribers since November 30, 2009, Mia Rose is among the five artists with the most subscriptions of all time.
Currently she is the artist with the highest number of subscribers in the UK, and in the same country, has the second YouTube channel with the largest number of subscriptions. Mia Rose's videos have been viewed more than 112 million times. Rose has more subscribers to her YouTube channel, worldwide, than Beyonce, U2, Justin Timberlake and Coldplay. Mia Rose has been the subject of articles in Rolling Stone, The Sun, and The Age, (also published in the Sydney Morning Herald) and was also highlighted on BBC Radio 5 Live podcast.
In January 2007, Mia signed with NextSelection / Universal by Ryan Leslie. Mia signed a contract with Tommy Mottola's Mottola Company for management. Throughout her time in the U.S., Mia Rose worked with producers and songwriters such as Brent Pashke, Uness and Kara DioGuardi. Mia recorded two singles, "Hold Me Now" and "Hot Boy" with NextSelection. Due to the difficulties that large Labels were crossing due to the digital revolution, Mia decided to return to Europe and focus her efforts on increasing her fan base and following her career as a DIY artist, feeling that retaining control over her music would be the right step to take.
On December 29, 2006, during the Christmas holidays from University, Mia opened an account on the video- sharing site YouTube under the name "miaarose." In her personal channel, Mia started by uploading a new video every day where she sang versions of her favorite artists. Within two weeks, Rose established herself among Youtube's most viewed musicians, which attracted the interest of several multinational Record Labels and was the subject of several news publications in the press and online.
In May 2009, Mia recorded and self-promoted her first single "Let Go" by launching the theme in iTunes in Portugal, where it quickly became the best selling download of the year and finished second in the Portuguese top 20.
Mia Rose has a huge amount of fans worldwide. During a video conference with them in Kyte.tv, on 15 October 2009, received over 7500 messages in 90 minutes 27 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Peru, the vast majority of European territory, Qatar , Japan, India and Malaysia. During an event held last year, Rose met the Queen of Jordan, who confessed to being a fan of Mia's music.
Due to her success as a DIY artist, through her exposure on YouTube, led her to receiving invitations to prestigious events such as the Google Zeitgeist and SIME Sweden, to talk about her career. Her DIY philosophy is present in all the steps she takes, Mia recently released several competitions to her fans where the prizes were either to spend a day with Mia Rose in London, choose one of the tracks to be edited in his latest work, and draw the cover of her new single.
Their second single of two tracks, "What Would Christmas Be Like? / Fallin 'For You" was released exclusively through her website http://www.officialmiarose.com on December 2, 2009. This single was written by Mia and was premiered on her YouTube channel on December 1, 2009. The video for the new single was recorded in Brazil by director and actor Rafael Almeida.
The second track included in this release, "Fallin 'For You" is written by Colbie Caillat and was chosen by fans of Mia from four possible songs. It was clearly the theme winner, garnering 45% of the votes, more than twice the music that came second. The video version of Mia has already been viewed more than 200,000
times since it was put on YouTube just a month after.
Mia Rose seeks to involve their fans in everything she does. As an example, Mia choose one of her fans (winner of one of her competitions) to draw her single "sleeve" cover.
Both themes were produced in London by Tyrell, who has worked with artists such as David Bowie, Simply Red Lily Allen and PM Dawn.
Mia Rose is also currently represented by Showcase of Stars Universally and in Just Models, Management in Portugal.
Mia Rose has also participated in a Brazilian soap opera names "Summer Camp 2 - The Tree of Life" portraying the character Nanda, conducted by renowned tv channel "GloboTv."
