Katya Blue is the voice of Kathrin, a Blues/Rock/Country singer-songwriter. Her influences are Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, The Carter Family, Bad Company, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.
Her band is comprised of five music artists, with a unique blues/rock/country sound. What makes her band's sound different than others is that the musicians come from various styles which include blues, rock, alternative, heavy metal, country and even polka, all coming together, creating a rock-inspired blues/country feel.
Kathrin commands the stage with her fierce vocals and sound that is reminiscent to music before '75, yet made for current times. No one else sounds like this band, and they are Really Good.
Kathrin's music credits include:

In 2011, Kathrin decided to sublet her NYC apartment to move back home to Philadelphia, PA to help her parents. It was then, she formed a band in Philly with her new guitar teacher Lou, a virtuoso guitarist. During a lesson she took out her original songs to practice chords, and from that day they have been co-writing and recording.
After finding the remaining musicians for the band. Their first big gig was Gorgas Park Summer Concert Series. The president of the park heard Kathrin sing at a local karaoke bar, she then invited him to hear her band play their first gig at a block party. After hearing them he asked her to perform as the act for Gorgas Park's 10th anniversary of 9/11 concert. With immense pride & honor the band accepted and have been invited to have a recurring show on Gorgas Park's Summer Concert roster.
For the past year, Katya Blue have been performing at various local outdoor concerts and venues throughout Philadelphia & NYC and have been written up in local papers and online news sites. They have been gaining a following and look forward to playing the music festival circuit and gain a fanbase that will propel them to the top.
