'I am 14 years old, born 10 May 2000. I live in Barnsley, but was born in Sheffield. I am lucky enough to come from a musical family. My Great Nan Emily was a piano teacher in the 1940s. My Great Grandad George was in a black and white minstrels troop. My Grandad Tony was in several Jazz Bands and played the drums. In the 1970s he appeared on Opportunity Knocks (a talent show) with the Climax Jazz Band and they came second. My Nan Jean was in Sheffield City Choir and was a dancer at the Empire and Lyceum in Sheffield in the 1950s. Before I was even born my mum says she knew that I would be musical. I used to kick away inside her to the beat of any music she played.
I have tried many instruments while growing up, but felt singing was the thing for me, and I took up singing lessons only recently.
I absolutely love Ed Sheeran and was lucky enough to see him in concert in October 2012. My other music tastes include Nina Nesbitt, James Arthur, Foy Vance, Passenger, Ben Howard, Taylor Swift and One Direction.
This year has been a whirlwind already, and I have so many things coming up. I am writing my first album, having photoshoots, performing, filming video's and much more, so watch this space!'
