Welcome, Brothers and Sister of the Moon!
My name is Lori "Bella" Clayton and I am here to prove that dreaming is timeless, and enchantment is just a lovespell away! 2016 has been amazing so far! I received the ultimate invitation in March, 2016, to debut as a performer at Night of 1,000 Stevies (NOTS) at Irving Plaza in New York City on Friday, May 13, 2016! The experience was magical, the crowd enthusiastic and receptive, and the creator, Chi Chi Valenti a treasure! I could not have dreamed of a more wonderful setting for my NOTS performance debut!
Due to the expense and time devoted to my NOTS debut, our local show, , The Sisters of The Moon Festival, A Tribute to Stevie Nicks, is on hiatus for 2016, but my co-producer Chris Cashe and myself are hoping that we can bring an even bigger and better event in 2017!
More about me.
Although I enjoy covering and performing Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks classics, if you are looking for an "impersonator", I can guarantee that I am not your regular "cookie cutter" Stevie Nicks wannabe. I have embraced her fabulous style when it comes to costuming and stage presence, but I also bring my own personal style and vocal ability to my performances. I would describe my performance style as "Amy Lee meets Stevie Nicks". I do credit Stevie Nicks as a major influence in my original songs, i.e. "The Nightmare", "The Nightbirds Cry" and "Arabelle", Amy Lee is also an influence, which I believe is most evident in the songs "Poison Love" and "Take My Life".
As a Solo Performance artist and songwriter, I owe my sound to my friend and collaborator Chris Cashe, who is the vocal editor on all of my original songs and cover songs. He is also the Co-Producer of our Sisters of the Moon event. He is an amazing make up artist, photographer and videographer! So much talent, and I appreciate that he takes time out of his very busy schedule to work with me on all of my projects!
An extra special thanks to the talented musicians at Open Minds Entertainment, who have provided me with my beautiful backing tracks, which fit so well to my lyrics. So much talent within that organization! I look forward to a continued relationship with them going into the future. However, I am hoping to take my songwriting to the next level, and begin creating my own melodies for my music, on piano/keyboard, then they can truly be my own original work!
I invite you now to come in out of the darkness, experience my dreams, and enjoy a little bit of magic, which is the world of Lori "Bella" Clayton!
Love and Light,
