TamiJaye is originally from Alexandria Virginia, also known as a part of the DMV. Poetry was a major interest since she was introduced in elementary school. Those poems slowly turned into songs. She began putting those words into motion, writing lyrics, when she was fourteen years old, recognizing her talent. TamiJaye moved to Atlanta Georgia in 2006 when she was nineteen. This is where she decided to take the first steps in becoming an artist. She was a member in a group called Entycin’. The group did not surface into the industry, and ultimately ended due to lifestyle differences. TamiJaye continued to write lyrics. At the age of twenty-three, TamiJaye came to the conclusion that writing lyrics was her calling, and that it is what she wants to do most. Taking it more serious at twenty-four, she started to seek out producers with her friend Denay, to see if they could team up and start a career in the industry. This task proved to be more difficult then they imagined, so the idia of their own company came into play. In 2012 they then attended a Writers Workshop with Major Music producer Chris Starr, who defined the writing process for her. She then teamed up with the Owner of the Indie Label, Big Paper Entertainment to dive deeper into her music journey. This experience drove her to team back up with her friend Denay, and start an Indie Label/publishing company of their own, Aoide Muse. It also lead TamiJaye back to recording vocals, and to release music of her own, bringing you the first released single “Lay it Down”.
