Catherine Denise is a blues guitarist /vocalist / songwriter from San Antonio, Texas. She began singing at age 3 and by age 6 she was learning to play the piano. She wrote her first song at age 8, and within the next few years began to take up songwriting seriously. Although she was classically trained on the piano, Catherine has many musical influences ranging from many different musical styles. Some of the blues based artists she was inspired by include: Stevie Ray Vaughan; Freddie King; Magic Sam; Etta James; and Ray Charles. She has played many clubs and festivals across the country. Catherine has opened for and / or played alongside the following artists: Anson Funderburgh; W.C. Clark; Tab Benoit; Rick Derringer; Doyle Bramhall Sr.; Gary Clark Jr.; Bugs Henderson; Omar and the Howlers; Smokin Joe Kubek and B'nois King.

Recently, Catherine was recognized by the International Blues Hall of Fame receiving the Great Local Artist Award and designated as an Ambassador to the Blues Hall of Fame from Texas. She currently has a CD out entitled Treat Me Like a Lady which she recorded with Double Trouble (Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon).
