Singer/songwriter Samantha Church is known around Chicago for her powerful blues vocals, emotional performances, and stripped down, earthy, folk instrumentation. A performer since the age of four, Samantha spent most of her life in the theatre. Upon moving to Chicago in 2007, she was quickly drawn into the music scene as a backup singer for the art-house, cabaret band, Chameleon World. In early 2012 she began her solo venture, singing and playing original songs in Chicago’s subways full time, where she honed her skills and built a devoted following. She’s currently working above ground, promoting her debut album, Primal, and can be seen gigging at clubs around Chicago. She hopes to add a new chapter to the Chicago blues tradition and take her brand of Naked-Blues across the country.
