Out of Chitown Illinois comes The Kinkades. They mix Rock and Roll with synth pop layered with smooth R & B vocals and harmonies. On "Rock Out" and "Fan Club Member", the singer gets you with arrogant swagger over cool funk beats with some punk influence scattered about. Soulful crooning is layered on top of progressive pop rock on songs like "Anything" and "Club Soda. The softer side of rock is displayed on the smooth but engaging "Diary of a Ballad" and the call for action "Killing in Chicago, We get taken into the chaotic thoughts of a reluctant entertainer in the bluesy "Antisocial Superstar" and the heavily grunge influenced "It Won't Let Me. Mix these with the atmospheric "Constellations" and the jam session gone wrong "OrigamiKamaSutra" and you have the makings of an incredibly impressive debut release. Enjoy.
