Emerson House Band / Bio

Emerson House Band is Leo MacLeod on vocals and ukelele, Jerry Keefe on guitar, vocals and harmonica, and John Hubbard on cello, banjo, guitar and vocals.

We bounce between jazz songs of the 30s, folk, bluegrass, soul and blues. Half of our set list are original songs, but you can say we're a cross between Louis Armstrong, Bob Dylan, the Band, and Ray Charles.
Tupelo Honey
Have You Ever Seen the Rain
People Get Ready
I Am Going to Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter

Leo and Jerry started playing together at the Emerson House, an Alzheimers Care Facility and then brought on John to really develop their unique sound which has been described as "soulful, funky, and contagious." We've played at the Jade Lounge for two years, packing in 20 - 30 fans on Monday nights--typically a slow night. We're interested in playing new venues, including folk festivals.
