An extremely gifted singer, songwriter, producer, performer and a dedicated artist in his own right, Jame taught himself how to play the piano, keyboards, and drums. He later picked up the guitar and is constantly learning new techniques.
Influenced by great artists such as: Santana, Mint Condition, Seal, D' Angelo, Maxwell, George Clinton, Parliament/Funkadelic, Wendy & Lisa, Sly and The Family Stone, James Brown, Dinah Washington and some fellow who changed his name to an androgyny symbol.
Jamie started his career as a member of a Hip-Hop Urban Dance Troop called the Orlando Palladium Dancers, which performed at various shows around the Central Florida area. His initial success was found, as a dancer, for the late Arista Recording Artist Jermaine Stewart("Say it again, Jody, We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off") while Jermaine Stewart was on his Eastern Club tour.
Jamie's talents as a songwriter, producer allowed him to produce a "demo" song for VIVE Recording Artists Sharon Nelson(sister of Iconic Recording Artist Prince).
Local Talent in which Jamie collaborated with or produced are Michelle Bray, Diva Records Recording Artist A Deepa Flo', Derrick "Hott Soss" Cummings(Former Brian McKnight guitarist and current guitarist for Patti Labelle), Ruben Ruiz(Former N'Sync guitarists), Levon Jackson of Pritti Boi, and Angel Luis Reyes Romero(Hijos De Agueybana) along with a variety of others.
Performances included Teen nights at The House of Blues, Hard Rock Live(with A Deepa Flo) and local venues such as AKA Lounge(now 57 West), Sling-a-Pours located in Orlando, Florida.
He cut his first demo, 'Satisfaction Guaranteed," but deemed it "a joke" and "Harsh Reality" in terms of being behind the curve when it came to doing original music. "It seemed like there was no more heart, soul, love, to get a message across when everybody just wants to listen to garbage all the time." "To become your own person is not to imitate or duplicate what has already been done but to take the road less traveled upon and create your own destiny."
What will his "Destiny" lead him to? Let us stay tuned and watch.
