The Stomptowners / Bio

The Stomptowners are a dynamic group featuring traditional Irish instrumentation, voice and foot percussion. Expect to hear an exciting blend of foot stomping jigs, reels and hornpipes interlaced with melodic, soulful song and vocal harmonies. The Stomptowners is a rare and wonderful visual experience too with choreographed dance throughout.

It is often said about The Stomptowners that there is something for everyone in any show. A typical performance includes smoking hot Irish and Scottish tunes, choreographed Irish dance, voice with foot percussion, arranged songs as well as evocative a cappella pieces. The Stomptowners repertoire is always kept fresh, alive and relevant to the season. And space permitting, this band will bring the dance floor to capacity with guided Ceili and folk dances.
At the core of The Stomptowners is vocalist Andrea Wild, Uilleann Pipe player, Preston Howard, Irish Bouzouki player, Richie Rosencrans and dancer Kelsey Wilson.
In addition, The Stomptowners showcase a number of talented Irish musicians. Keeping a rotation dubbed “Irish Musician Du Jour” allows the band a unique approach to stage line-up while maintaining top-notch authentic musicianship.
Look out for multi-instrumentalist, Bob Soper, renowned button accordion player, Felim Egan and Dublin-based banjo player, Graham Nolan --- these are a few of the fine players who perform with this ensemble.
