I was born in Los Angeles.
I fell in love with music when I heard The Beatles for the very first time. I knew right then that I would do whatever I could to be in music. I went to high school locally, where I first started performing music. I played whenever I could. My band was the High School Band. I recorded my first tracks in a studio at 16. I started with any instrument I could find....piano, trumpet, drums, guitar, violin, bass....all would eventually play a roll in my career....but it was guitar....lead guitar... that captured my heart. (Doc Watson, George Harrison and Eric Clapton were my idols).
For a while I lived in Madison, Wisconsin. I played in clubs 3 nights a week. It was there that I fell in love with Bluegrass and Country. When I returned back to Los Angeles, I tried a million things, and ended up singing and picking blues and bluegrass in a club in Santa Monica, CA. I played there 5 nights a week for 8 years.
I'm now recording more than ever, and playing out anywhere I can.
For me, music is about giving. Giving to yourself first, and then to anyone who will listen. It’s about reflection, joy and sharing emotion.
I can’t imagine doing anything else.
