The Damsels are a country duo out of Nashville Tennessee. Growing up at the base of Mount Rushmore, Keenie Word was raised in the shadows of legends, both literally and figuratively. Her mother was a national champion barrel racer and Casey Tibbs pro Rodeo Hall Of Famer, Keenie's father was a PRCA steer wrestler and her brother Jess Tierney, is a five time NFR steer roper. Keenie is a champion barrel racer herself.
Born and raised in Colorado, Aubree Bullock was brought up with a strong country background. since a young age she has been singing and performing at fairs and festivals nationwide. Aubree was top five finalist for Best New Artist at the Inspirational country Music Awards for two consecutive years as well as top five finalist fro Female Vocalist and Christian Country Song Of The Year.
Before forming The Damsels in 2012, both girls honed their vocal skills in their respective home churches, cowboy churches and other venues across the nation. Both girls have released solo albums prior to recording The Damsels EP and music video, "Trucks Are For Girls". The Damsels have been busy traveling and performing at rodeos, county fairs, and festivals throughout the country where they have opened for major acts such as The Band Perry, Martina Mcbride, Locash Cowboys, Neal Mccoy and more, as well as headlining their own shows. They recently finished an Armed Forces Entertainment tour overseas performing for the United States Military on bases in Southwest Asia. Finishing up 2015 they performed for several events in Las Vegas during national Finals Rodeo week. They have been busy songwriting in Nashville and are currently in the studio recording new material.
This year is already shaping up to be a great new year. The Damsels couldn't be more excited and ready.
