Audio Nation was formed in september 2012 in Reykjavik Iceland with current members.
The band was formed by Gulli Falk (Guitar) and Gisli (Vocal/Sax), Gummi (Drums/Backing Vocals) joined the band and then Joi Palli (Bass). Gulli and Gisli had some songs that Audio Nation worked on and finished.
Audio Nation has been playing in Iceland and finished the album 'Wait It Out' in mars 2014. The album has 10 songs which have a slight grunge feeling to them because of Gisli vocals and the harmonies. The lyrics are powerful with a lot of emotion. 'Wait It Out' was recorded in Audio Nation's rehearsal room and in Gisli's home studio. 'My Grave' was recorded in two studios and recorded and mixed by Raggi Laki and released as a single. Gisli mixed and produced all other songs, the album was mastered in Ultimate Rhythm Studio in L.A. by Charlie Waymire.
The album was released by Audio Nation through CDBaby and is available on most streaming services like Spotify, iTunes, Deezer and more.
Audio Nation worked on the album for six months. The album cover was designed by Gisli.
The first 100 album covers where handmade by Kristrun from Icelandic wool and had uniq numbers.
'Wait It Out' is available on Iceland with wool covers. It's also available from Cdbaby in juwel case.
The song 'Little Boy' Audio Nation got two great musicians to play violin (Matthias Stefansson) and cello (Hildur Jonsdottir).
Audio Nation influences are many different artist, but to name a few we can say Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Rush, Screaming Trees, Ozzy Osbourne, Zack Wilde and many more.
All band members make they're instrument sound like they want and that's what makes Audio Nation. Different influences and different input on each song.
What makes Audio Nation different from other bands is the blend of styles in the songs, harmonies and saxophone.
Audion Nation plays everything and there are no 'rules' in the songs, if it sounds good, they play it.
When Audio Nation performes live you can hear salsa, blues and rock.
Audio Nation aims high and future plans are to make more records and play anywhere in the world.
Right now the plan is to play as much as possible and make new songs for next album.
