Linda discovered her love for music when she was around seven years old. The songs became her way of expressing her innermost feelings. It was evident, early on, that Linda was passionate about music as she became the youngest member of her church band at eleven years old. Since then, she has participated in choirs, praise teams, and today she ministers in churches, retreats, concerts, hospitals, drug rehab centers, to mention a few.
It goes without saying that life can be tough. This is surely true for Linda as well. Yet, as God is faithful, He has brought Linda through the tough times too. The character that developed in Linda during these trying times is what makes her the worship leader and mentor she is today. "And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope" (Rom 5:3-4).
God has reminded Linda, many times, how He forgave her and freed her. He taught her to love and forgive people in the same way. She is fervent to share Jesus' story because, as Linda says, "He is good news to all that receive Him.”
Linda and her husband Tim write her songs together. Linda smiles when asked about Tim. Linda said, “Tim is truly a God send! He has supported me from day one; even when I was in the valley and did not want to open my mouth to sing. He has been God’s hands, mouth, eyes, arms, to say the least”
Linda is blessed to have the talent to minister songs and stories in both English and Spanish. Everything she shares is out of the testimony God has built of her life. “Each lyric and every note are a gift given by God”, Linda says.
Stop for a moment to enjoy the blessing God has given us in Linda; she won't mind.
