The Red Hot Sugar Babies perform sassy jazz and sultry blues of the roaring 20's-30's including Vintage Jazz, Blues, Swing, Ragtime, Dixieland, New Orleans. Influenced by Ethel Waters, Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, Bessie Smith, Jelly Roll Morton they play a mix of the pop music that created the first dance craze to sweep the nation. Band members Joanne Domka (trumpet), Lois Jolly (trombone), Wendi Loomis (vocals), Mario Piccolo (guitar), Dan Patrella (plectrum banjo), Laurie Fisher (bass) bring alive music that makes you swing and tap your toes. Come dance The Charleston and revisit the era of flappers, speakeasies, rumble seats, and bathtub gin.
