Brand New History / Bio

Scotti "Bones" Still (lead & rhythm guitar, vocals):
In the late 90s, Bones did stints in two original acts - Kings in Disguise and Slurbelt - playing everywhere from Hamtramck to East Lansing and all points in between. He continued to work the local music scene over the next decade but primarily as a DJ, founding his own mobile service and working both local clubs and private parties. With over 25 years of experience, he has now returned to his first love - playing live music.

Craig "Fish" Fishel (vocals, rhythm & lead guitar):
From the hair metal of the 80s, to the grunge sound of the 90s to the post-punk pop and emo of today, Fish has been an avid listener and performer of music through it all. In fact, his iPod seems to suffer a personality disorder, with tracks ranging from Boz Scaggs to Dokken, The Beastie Boys to Damien Rice and Dwight Yoakam to Green Day. Friends for nearly 20 years, he and Bones have collaborated on a number of projects, including an original project in the 90s and, more recently, an acoustic duo act geared toward smaller, more intimate settings. Like Bones, however, Fish is ecstatic to be rocking out again in a full-fledged band.

Brian MacLean (rhythm & lead guitar, vocals):
Bri grew up on the power chords of Angus Young, Tony Iommi and Greg Ginn. He's a lot of fun to be around - just don't get between him and his Budweiser!

Orlando "OT" Trujillo (bass, vocals):
Trujillo was turned on to playing music in the late 90's when going to college. Ernie Johnson, a fellow classmate, was simply looking for a friend to jam with. What started out as a Friday night hangout turned into several house parties capped with an amazing graduation party. Along the way, he started playing the acoustic guitar and began writing his own songs. After finishing college and relocating to Michigan, he took about 5 years off then got back into music with some friends from work. A couple bands later, he finds himself in BNH, committed to playing live music and always trying to improve his new-found passion for singing.

Jay Fisher (drums):
The newest addition to the group. He has been drumming for over 30 years around town in garages, basements and open mic nights. Jay brings his high energy style and a solid groove to BNH taking the music to an all new level.
