The Ill-Breed Biography
The Ill-Breed are a quickly rising star that are set apart from the rest with their unique sound that is an exciting blend of rock and hip hop with the added flair of a dub step influence. They steal the hearts of their audience with their high energy stage show and meaningful lyrics. They are currently recording their first album and are currently making their mark on the music industry with only demo versions of the album songs and an amazing live stage show.
The Tennessee based Rap duo found music to be a vital part of their lives at very young ages and used it as a way to cope with their troubled childhoods. Malachi who was originally from Maryland was introduced to instruments as a child threw his father who was a bluegrass musician. By the age of thirteen he could play drums, bass, and was becoming an exceptional guitarist. By his mid twenties he had been in many popular local rock bands and even one group that was signed to an indy label but the groups never lasted. Strange who was born in Ohio always turned to music as a form of therapy and began writing his own songs to express himself as a teenager. He was also musically inclined and was in a high school marching band and jazz band. The two met by chance during high school on the bus on their way home and have been friends ever since.
Their musical paths combined when Strange had shown Malachi a song that he had written and he found that it went perfectly to an instrumental by Mike E. Clark. They soon went on to record their first mix tape album while still in high school. Soon after they began making their own beats and began the ten year long process of finding and mastering their own original sound. During that time they put out an additional album and a few side projects while they worked independently for a few years.
In October of 2012 Strange again approached Malachi with a song he had written and it lit a flame of desire in them like never before. With a new found sense of direction the two began to blaze their trail into music history. Now named The Ill-Breed the two bring the message of self acceptance because with that you can overcome any obstacle and find true happiness.
The Ill-Breed nation is what they call their fans due to the fact that anyone can be ill bred and you can’t even see it. Anyone who is oppressed, bullied, depressed, cast out, neglected, or forgotten are all Ill bred like us. The prom queen who smiles all day and goes home to an empty home to no affection, the honor student who works so hard to impress the ones around them but never feels adequate, and the loaner that avoids everyone to hide the scars from an abusive father. These are what make up the Ill breed nation the people looking for a way to escape the torment that they live in but bury deep inside so they don’t show the world their imperfections.
Their goal is to help others threw music the way it has helped them to overcome all the negativity in their own lives. It is time for people to take a stand and find meaning in their lives.
