Danika’s debut single, “Greatest Show on Earth,” (co-written by Chris Drizen) was featured in Billboard Magazine and the music video for the song premiered exclusively on Country Weekly’s website. Danika’s and Chris’ song “Hurry Home” also received airplay on Nashville’s prestigious Lighting 100.
Chris Drizen also co-produced Kenny Foster’s self-titled EP with Marc “Schmarx” Schneider (Round Hill Publishing). Chris had 3 cuts on the project, which he co-wrote with Kenny, including the lead single, “The Animal.” The song received airplay in Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and Alabama.
Before moving to Nashville, Chris Drizen was the former lead singer and songwriter of Los Angeles based rock band, 2nd Day Crush. He founded the band with Rick Barrio Dill (now of Vintage Trouble on Blue Note Records). The band’s first single “Watch The World” premiered on Fuse TV’s Steven’s Untitled Rock Show. (The song was produced by Jim Wirt who has produced Incubus, Fiona Apple, Jack’s Mannequin). The band’s second single, “The Victim,” was self-produced. It was the lead song on the video game NHL2k2010, and also played on Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl.
2016 is shaping up to be another big year for Chris Drizen. He will have 2 songs on Keith Walker’s new EP. There are a few other large cuts in the works, but we can’t mention those just yet!
