Spectre Theatre is a 2 piece band located half in Leipzig Germany & Salt Lake City Utah USA, that was created based on friendship & common interest in music. Spectre Theatre was formed by Micha (guitar, bass & drum sequencing), Lufia (lead female vocals & bass) & vISION (lead male vocals & lyrics), who began writings songs in 2009.
The members of Spectre Theatre have been fiends for years. Micha is not only a musican (who previously wrote music in a band called "Speechless") but has been a DJ (DJ Un5sound) for years in Leipzig Germany's Vanity Noire. The band first met in person when vISION performed with his other band (Tragic Black) at the Wave Gotik Treffen (WGT) festival in 2006 & again when TB toured Europe in 2007.
Regarding the song writing process, Micha writes all of the music & sends the songs to vISION, who writes the lyrics, records the vocals & sends back them to Micha for him to add them to the song and do the mixing & mastering.
The 1st Spectre Theatre song was "Blinking Light," which appeared on Smoke & Spotlight Vol. 6, compilation released by their friend DJ Cyberpagan (www.death-rock.de). Next, they released "Casket Call." This was the last song with Lufia in the line up.
After Lufia departed the band, Micha & vISION continued Spectre Theatre & recorded their 3rd song, "Death Dance" which featured vISION's wife Ailyn on female backing vocals & musician fiends: Stich (from All Gone Dead, Tragic Black, Corvid) and Dredd (aka DJ Evil K from Red Death Romantics, Domiana & The Midnight Dreary) on backing vocals.
Next Micha wrote "One Hell Too Many." The lyrics were based on vISION's idea to incoporate a theme from the movie "The Prophecy." "One Hell Too Many" also featured Ailyn on female backing vocals and additional musician fiends: Seputus (from: Tragic Black & Redemption(bound)) & Vyle (from Tragic Black) on backing vocals.
Currently Micha & vISION are working more songs for an eventual full-length Spectre Theatre album. Find Spectre Theatre online:
