Memory of a Melody / Bio

They say that everything is bigger is in Texas. That bodes well for the San Antonio-based, Memory of a Melody. Their sound is a Texas-sized slab of in your face, sonic muscularity that straddles the gossamer-thin line separating hard rock from metal. The band has one foot firmly set in each genre. One minute they are dishing out a crunchy, melodic modern hard rock track like “Break Away,” the next they are smashing your face with a vicious metal assault like "Between the Eyes."

With an array of powerful songs and an exciting and energetic live show, Memory of a Melody quickly began making strides in their hometown of San Antonio, TX. Winning the 2009 KISS Battle of the Bands gained them their first bit of notoriety, putting them on stage with Chevelle, 10 Years, and other nationals all before the band even had a recording.

Since the release of their debut album "Things That Make You Scream," the band has formed a strong and dedicated fanbase, gaining them enough attention to achieve airplay select fm stations and landing them slots on the 2013 Rocklahoma and River City Rockfest Festivals. Through blood, sweat, and tears, the refusal to fail, and a strong will to succeed, Memory of a Melody has proven that they are a force to be reckoned with that will not back down and will not surrender.
