MGlaziermusic / Bio

Mark has been playing the guitar since he was 12 years old, He started his first band when he was 15 performing at school dances and playing the acoustic guitar at Church. Mark wrote his first songs with his Dad while playing for their Church, and this led Mark to realize that he loved writing songs for others to enjoy.
In High School he had a acoustic duo with his good friend Brian Kelly and they wrote some wonderful music together, and preformed at local coffee houses.
But Mark also loved to Rock and Roll so he formed the band South of the Border with his good friend Dana Scofidio on guitar and Ralph Croteau on vocals and Randy Adams on bass, Ken Taylor on guitar and Jack Christensen on Drums this line up led to manny other bands and a friendship that lasts to this day.
After High School Mark continued playing, and played in another acoustic duo with Chris Buessem who plays Banjo and Mando, and led to some of Mark's popular Banjo inspired music. This duo also liked to Rock and Roll so they formed a band called Whisper Not, and with the help of Bill Mills on Drums and Brian Redding on Bass they covered everything from Rush to the Grateful Dead.
After Whisper Not, Mark and Chris started a band called the Crows led by Ralph Croteau and his fantastic energy playing punk inspired songs with Mark and Chris on guitars, Randy Adams on Bass and Jack on the drums. After this band broke up Mark and Ralph teamed up to form the band the Monks of Sex which is still going strong after 25 years.
But Mark loves to play and write his own music he found his old friend Dana Scofidio on Facebook and they teamed up to preform some gigs together and this led to the recording of Traveling Sam and 1847 both songs have enjoyed strong radio plays, Traveling Sam was the first song they played together, Mark showed it to Dana and said are you ready he said yes and Mark hit record, this was done in one take no practice no overdubs and the rest is history.
Mark has enlisted some old friends from his past to help out on a new CD, so with everyone sending in parts from all over the USA he will have some new music soon. Some Rock and Roll solo's from Dana Scofidio and Ken Taylor, and some guitar from Jack Christensen, bass from Randy Adams and yes some Banjo from Chris Bueesum and Bill Mills on Drums and new kid Harp player Mark Reuter.
So with a eye to the future Mark will keep Rock and Rolling and going back to his acoustic music, much thanks to all that have supported his music
