Born in Middleton, Nova Scotia Matt Hannam is a singer songwriter who lives in Cape Coral, Florida. He and his wife have been married for 14 years and they have a beautiful 8 year old daughter that keeps them on their toes.
Music has always been an important part of Matt’s life. Matt enjoys performing for live audiences and works hard to ensure that he delivers his best product each and every time he steps on to the stage. Matt regularly performs as a solo act but he also is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for a Cape Coral, FL based original rock band known as The Collective (The Collective).
Matt Hannam takes great pride in being a songwriter, but also enjoys covering other artists work. Recognizable artists that he regularly covers include: Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band, Lynard Skynard, The Beatles, The Eagles, CCR, Johnny Cash, Paul Simon, The Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, Green Day, Bob Marley, Oasis, Rod Stewart, U2, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Otis Redding, Steve Earle, The Violent Femmes, The Band, Jimmy Buffett, The Foo Fighters, John Mellencamp, The Ramones, and Stone Temple Pilots. His covers list is continuously growing.
Equipment for live performances includes: two Martin Acoustic/Electric guitars, a Fishman acoustic guitar amplifier, and a Behringer PA system. Matt does not utilize backing tracks in his performances. His solo sound is vocally driven and acoustic guitar supported.
