Hip-hop has given birth to a new prophet of musical lyrics known as Yasir “Young Yefe” Spencer. Born on July 14, 1993, the New Brunswick, New Jersey native was raised in two households between Georgia and Florida.
Growing up in a challenging environment, Yefe turned to skateboarding and music as an escape. Yefe was highly influenced by the younger generation of hip-hop such as Jay-Z, Cassidy, Dipset, and Lil Wayne.
Starting on the path to success, at a young age, Young Yefe recorded himself freestyling and battled anyone who wanted to challenge him. Building a name for himself, Yefe began to look at rapping more than a hobby, but as a way a life. Determined to excel in the rap game, Yefe bought a $5 Labtec computer microphone and started to write and record his lyrics.
What’s so unique about Young Yefe? He’s versatile! Forming a new “hip-pop” genre, Yefe can rap to anything about anything and still keep his own matchless style.
At the age of 16, Young Yefe, can be considered Hip-hop’s best kept secret…but not anymore! Getting the reins on his life and his father behind his back, Young Yefe, has managed to market himself on MySpace, YouTube, Sound Cloud and numerous other musical venues. Yefe has created mixtapes and is currently working on his first album.
“Nobody wants this music life as bad as I do, so if I don’t get on my game, then who will?” –Young Yefe
