Ricky Fermin was born in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He was instantly influenced by his musical roots. His father was always involved in music, from sound systems, to helping out with Ricky's uncles, who had their own bachata group and would perform all around the Dominican Republic. At the age of 8, Ricky moved with his mother to the United States, but the separation from his musically talented male role models didn't discourage him. Ricky instantly adapted to his new surroundings and by the time he was 13 he began free styling, performing in his school talent shows and writing down his rhymes to perfect what would become his signature flow. Now a young man at 15, he travels to New Jersey to spend the summer with his father. Upon exploring the streets of New Jersey, he met up with Cesar, another young hip hop fanatic. The two of them started giving street performances with the local artists. His talent was instantly evident... and once Ricky felt that adrenaline rush while performing for the first time outside of his school surroundings, he knew he was meant to be in music, he made it his passion and has been pushing himself to evolve and break into the industry ever since.
Ricky is currently in Los Angeles working on a new CD.
