Ron Everett is a New England guitarist, singer songwriter. He pursued his playing style in various Boston bands. Ron then moved to Los Angeles and attended Musicians Institute.
In the Mastermind project Ron recorded an eclectic mix of instrumental and vocal fronted compositions on a self produced EP named BREAKING NEW GROUND. He then recorded another EP entitled EVOLUTION with sister Rhonda on drums, Columbia recording artist/Nashville violin, dobro player Wayne Burns and Sha Na Na saxman Jay Leslie. The single PICK UP THE PIECES from this EP was recognized by The Help Heal LA Through Music song competition to support the rebuilding of Los Angeles and Beyond Shelter organization.
The YESTERDAYS DREAM album highlighted a major development of Ron's passion for playing, songwriting and recording. Co-produced with Paul Curo son of Leo, the late drummer for Eric Clapton's producer Delaney Bramlett. Studio/tour drummer Craig Pilo for Edgar Winter, Frankie Vallie and Maynard Ferguson along with bassist Eric D. of Wicked Smart Studios valuably contributed to this project. Mastered by Bob Lazo credits including Winona Ryder and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
CHEVY SHOOGA funky single Ron penned and produced was inspired by movie actor/musician Jeff Osterhage for his band The Jam Cylinders. It was recorded at Encore Studios in Burbank California. Executive producer Darryl Caseine and engineer Pete Novak credits including Gwen Stafani, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and Alanis Morissette. Additional support by New Orleans harp player Zollie Polk and Brian Floyd LA saxman for jazz pianist Billy Mitchell, Nori Iji and the Untouchables.
Ron recorded songs from his HEART & SOUL set in 2014 at Woolley Mammoth Sound in Waltham Mass. David Minehan guitarist/producer with The Replacements and Woolly Mammoth engineered and co-produced. Tony Puleo bassist for Carly Simon/GK Amps/Lull Guitars and Lance Anderson founding drummer of Tin Pan Alley supported rhythm line-up.
The music video FREE was released in June 2014 and followed up with live performances on the U.S. West and East coast. STARS single was released in October and included on Relix Magazine's Robert Plant cover issue CD compilation. The Ron Everett Band was showcased on advertorial page and On The Rise spotlight section.
In the Summer of 2015 Ron set out on a coast to coast U.S. Ride Tour in support of the HEART & SOUL EP. He rode on a motorcycle with Seagull guitar on back camping along the way. The journey started in Boston for three plus months covering 6,800 miles and 24 states.
