CJ Chartrand / Bio

Local Area Musician for over 20 years in the Albany NY Area. Performs rock from the 60's to current day, and also blue grass style, Celtic Folk and a few surprises, CJ will play you a memory, and has a real fondness for early 70's rock. He also plays sacred music, and contemporary christian music with a long standing commitment to the Stratton VA Medical Center where he performs for Sunday afternoon chapel services.

Mr. Chartrand performs as CJ Chartrand & Friends often bandmates show up, and sometimes just makes new friends who are in other bands. Sometimes it is just me, my instruments, the audience, and we make friends easily! Lots of great acoustic arrangements of favorite rock tunes, and other jems. You never know what you will hear, yet you will love it!

The Schodack Island State Park's Castleton On Hudson, NY - Harvest Festival as CJ Chartrand & Friends, joined by a New Friend Bob Cashman on Bass. Bob is from Acoustic Rye. Other dear friends included Brian Young on electric guitar, and vocals, and Lori Keyosky on drums. 10 /05/2013

The Current project includes a tour of Downtown Albany the, "Climb the Hill Tour," and is presently seeking venues for the event. Why the tour and why now? Mr, Chartand said it himself, "I Feel Like I'm Ready to Be let Out of A Can!" So come out to see him, see the energy, hear the music, and become a new friend!
