Justin Johnson originated from Iowa and has relocated to North Dakota with his wife. With some new scenery and dreams, he plans to expand his musical talents within his new location. His writing style is highly energetic and hook driven with influences from Aerosmith, Stone Temple Pilots, Fuel, Candlebox, Breaking Benjamin, and Three Days Grace. With numerous fresh riffs and ideas, Justin is ready to begin a new chapter in his musical career.
Justin first started his passion of playing guitar and writing music when he was 15 years old. He has written one album and collaborated on a second with the band Easteighteen. Easteighteen was established in Emmetsburg, Iowa by Justin and Joe Schany (singer) while attending high school together. Since then they moved the band to Iowa City, IA and recruited new members to further their musical ambitions. Together they played at many local and surrounding area venues. They were equipped with a self-recorded album called “With All Due Respect” and many covers that appealed to a wide range of audiences. Their songs “Victor” and “Fallen” became fan favorites. While their album was well received, the band was ready to start writing a second album that was a bit heavier. But due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin had to leave Iowa City and Easteighteen. Before leaving Justin was able to collaborate on the band’s next album called “In the Event that you’re Right,” which was produced in Catamount Studios with Tom Tatman.
