The creative collision of Cami Lundeen's beautifully haunting voice, her profound lyrics that cut right to your soul, and her intriguing melodies that linger long after you've heard them, captures listeners and moves them at the core of their being.
Cami's energetic style is a unique blend of the bluesy-soul of Adele, an alternative rock flare reminiscent of The Cranberries, and the edginess of Pink. Whether it be an intimate performance, as Cami commands her guitar alongside her cajon percussionist, or fronting a full band, she lures you in with her sultry voice, and powerful vulnerability.
Cami Lundeen recently recorded and released her debut album "Run Free".
Shortly after being diagnosed with a rare, incurable liver disease in the spring of 2010, Cami Lundeen turned to songwriting as an outlet for coping with her daunting reality. With the youngest of her four children barely six months old, this news weighed heavily on her heart. Songwriting became the glue that held Lundeen together through this heartbreaking time. Due to her passion for music, and desire to share an inspirational message of hope and to encourage others to follow their dreams, Lundeen and her husband sold most of their possessions, packed up their family, and are currently out on a tour of the United in their minivan with tent trailer in tow. Lundeen plans to tour for an indefinite amount of time, to promote her debut album Run Free. Her “Run Free Tour” is being funded by shows and donations as she and her family work their way across the country.
Lundeen played her first public show at a local farmer’s market in the spring of 2012 and quickly amassed a large local following by playing numerous shows and festivals around the Seattle area including Seattle’s Northwest Folklife Festival, The Crocodile, The Hard Rock Café and The Triple Door. Less than a year after her first show, raising over $15,000, Lundeen crowd-funded, recorded, and released her debut album Run Free. Released in August 2013, Run Free is an intimate weaving of her story – a journey of life’s struggles and a tale of overcoming fear and choosing to live life to its fullest. Heralded as one of the top albums of 2013 by Troy Michael of “Innocent Words” magazine, he says:
“With singer/songwriters a dime a dozen these days it’s pretty hard to separate yourself as one of the musicians who deserve to be noticed. Seattle songstress Cami Lundeen proves she deserves a place in this music industry for a long long time with her phenomenal debut ‘Run Free’. The self-released 10-track album is sparse on pretentiousness and filled with hope, passion, introspection, and a will to pick yourself up no matter how had this hard world can beat you down.” – Troy Michael, Innocent Words Magazine & Records
