Maine Ideal / Bio

Fredrick Jermaine Williams, better known as the rapper Maine Ideal was born on August 6, 1981 in Laurens, South Carolina. As a child growing up in Laurens, South Carolina, Maine Ideal played football and baseball. Although he excelled in sports, Maine Ideal developed a love and passion for music. He participated in music classes and was part of the concert choir in middle and high school.
Maine Ideal fondly remembers his first time on the stage. When he was in the 8th grade he had a solo singing a part from “Yesterday” by Boyz II Men. While being nervous initially, he put on a mesmerizing performance that touched everyone in the room. It was at that moment Maine Ideal realized he was meant to be a performer. The ability to touch people through music was a phenomenal feeling for him.
When he got older Maine Ideal moved from singing into rapping, although he never lost his love for song. In the art of rap Maine Ideal was influenced by the likes of Bone Thugs N Harmony, Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac and a host of others. Maine Ideal studied their styles and was able to incorporate them into his own creating a style that is uniquely Maine Ideal.
Currently Maine Ideal is performing throughout the United States. In 2013 he was the winner of the Icreative Live hip hop contest. He is currently under the management of EsquireOne Entertainment Group.
