Cleopatra, a native of Trinidad & Tobago (with "Vincy" roots) and now a British citizen, is a multi-talented singer/entertainer, whether in Soca/Calpso mode or belting out popular numbers from the Pop, Soul, Reggae or Gospel.
With a background in adding backing vocals to promininent Calypsonians and Artistes like Baron, Calypso Rose, Explainer, Machel Montano, Denise Plummer and Prince Unique, it is no wonder that, in her own right, Cleopatra has excelled in Notting Hill Carnival Calypso Monarch competitions in recent years, actually claiming the Groovy Soca Monarch Crown in 2010.
She has also received rapturous acclaim in blackwomenarts.org, a forum for the community of black women in the arts.
Cleopatra, who in her early career also worked with top Caribbean Bands like Tropical Bass, Sound Revolution and Ruption, enhances her smooth, melodic vocals with an effusive blend of humour and audience participation which accounts for her being such a popular entertainer.
Her debut album, Soca Worldwide, launched in 2005, was an instant hit, and has since been followed by Sleeping Wit De Enemy. She is now on the verge of releasing her an EP, “Decisions”, (Mid-to-Late June), on which she worked, after a two-year sabbatical, and collaborated with Prince Unique (T & T) and Christopher Morris (St. Vincent), including her personal favourite track, "Passion".
