The Tom Barnes Band is a rock quartet based out of Syracuse and Oswego N.Y. A typical show features gritty soulful vocals merged with Rockin'Americana based song writing with innovative and modern twists. The high energy mix of popular covers and well crafted original songs are blended tastefully with blazing lead guitar backed by one of Central New York's finest rhythm sections.
Having spent most of 2015 Performing both locally & state wide with their own distinct sound & energizing stage presence. This quartet looks to fill 2016 with even more towns, more festivals, and a new CD to bring to the masses. Along with performing 5-6 shows a week in 2013, The band shared the stage with The Band Molly Hatchet and Anders Osborn to promote the 2013 release “Town To Town”.They also got a good amount of airplay on the rebel and a few other radio stations.
The band formally known as The 21st Century Cowboys have been entertaining Syracuse’s finest bars & restaurants for the past 15 years. Earning regular spots at The Dinosaur BBQ, Coleman’s, Shifty’s, The Taste of Syracuse, Harborfest, The Cayuga county fair, Borio’s, Sherwood inn, Sterling Stage, Cornell College, and The NY wine festival to name a few.
Collectively Tom Barnes (guitar & vocals), Mike Miller (bass & vocals),Dan Horst (guitar & vocals), John Bletch (drums) have shared the bill with such acts as The Charlie Daniels Band, Government Mule, Marshall Tucker, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Derrick Trucks, Goo Goo Dolls, Weezer, 10,000 Maniacs, Molly Hatchet, Max Creek, The Barenaked Ladies, Merl Saunders, Levon Helm, and Garth Hudson.
Although the Tom Barnes Band has been performing together for all this time it wasn’t till 2013 that they finished the puzzle. This lineup is by far the most rehearsed and hungry for the future. Luckily over these years the group has picked up thousands of loyal fans, sold thousands of cds, and traveled thousands of miles to build a great foundation for the future.
