Lamice / Bio

composer | author | singer | digital entrepreneur |
LAMICE embodies a new generation of "e-artists" whose creations are only available on the internet, and can be accessed through her page www.lamice.com.

LAMICE is a composer, author and singer. She's been composing since the age of 16. As an expatriate of Lebanese origin, living in France, LAMICE focused first on securing her future. She built a career in business consulting. Once she felt secure, LAMICE managed to give life to her passion for Music in parallel, thanks also to digital technology. She recounts her life away from family and friends through music - her sanctuary. Her situation as an expatriate from a country in war is also a reason why LAMICE developed strong interest for the technologies of communication. She found herself in our modern world where technology transcends geographical borders and allow people to feel less isolated.

LAMICE advocates music without borders, without labels, free of trends. Her music is influenced by many styles and various cultures, due to her exposure as an expatriate : pop, electro, oriental, latino...

LAMICE reveals her songs over time, unhurried, giving the opportunity to every song to be valued through single releases. As off today, she released three songs (5 tracks) :

SUMMER DAYS : A Hymn to Friendship
The original song flirts with Western and Oriental pop, and Latino rhythms. The remix is electro house (radio and club edit).
LAMICE wrote that song in Cyprus with her expatriate friends, drawn together by the similarity of their countries at war. She made it a message of open mindedness and positive thinking, built around the base of true friendship.
The video clip is a creative and artistic stop motion. The video tells the story of the song while paying tribute to some cultures that LAMICE feels close to.

MOVE ON : A Call to Move on in Life
The song mixes pop, electro and oriental sounds.
LAMICE wrote that song after being expatriated from Lebanon, for a second time in 2006, while she just had given her life a new direction. She made it a call to move forward in life, whatever the circumstances. The video clip depicts one of those moments in life where the individual, filled with passion and courage, participates in a competition where facing criticism is sometimes harsh, unjust and disrespectful. It is an unconventional version of a "reality talent show" presented as the footage of a dance casting.

INSANE : A day of a Business Woman
The song is “fusion Pop” mixing 80ies, electro and world sounds.
Spending her time between music, her passion, and her job as a business consultant, she felt inspired to talk about a typical day of a working woman.

LAMICE prefers to talk about her songs instead of herself. This is why she decided, for now, not to appear. She would like people to focus on the values and the messages of her songs. And also to leave room for the public through her social networks, on universal matters: friendship, will, self-transcendence... LAMICE found, through her music, a field of expression interactive, optimistic and full of hope.

TIME OUT Beirut | Natalie Shooter | Jul. 2011 : "...Lamice is a multi-skilled, multicultural, multitask person. « I think I am one of the coming generation of people who needs to do many things because we have multiple talents we want to explore and express. The challenge for me as a business consultant, artist and someone who’s very sociable is to put all those talents together and try to make it as a living.»...".

=> You are thousands of people around the world supporting me, since the beginning : THANK YOU - MERCI - ¡GRACIAS! - OBRIGADA - CHOUKRANDANKE - ευχαριστώ - GRAZIE... LAMICE ;-)
