Sierra Sikes is an aspiring vocal talent, songwriter, musician and actor. Fans say she is already a natural on stage, a seasoned performer and delivers songs in a way only she can.
Sierra began singing publically at the age of five when she sang her first solo at her church and discovered her love for sharing music with others.
In 2010 at the age of eleven, Sierra auditioned and was accepted to perform at the Oklahoma Rodeo Opry for their Saturday evening live shows, where she now appears regularly. She was honored to be on the Rodeo Opry’s television show on KSBI. Through her performances at the Opry, Sierra met her current mentor and coach Amanda Earhart. Amanda has helped Sierra grow and develop her own personal unique style and furthered her love of music.
When asked to compare her sound to those in the music market today, there are no true comparisons. Sierra’s style is unique.
Sierra is a proud member of the Oklahoma Country Music Singers Association where she is a regular performer. She also appears regularly the McSwain Theatre in Ada, Clinton Country Jamboree, Redskin Theatre, Pauls Valley Opry, Oklahoma State Fair and many other festivals, events and venues all around Oklahoma and surrounding states. She also performed at Chick Singer Night in Dallas, a nationwide showcase for up and coming female artists.
She has won a vast array of awards including twice winning the Judged Female Entertainer of the Year for CMSA (2012, 2013), People’s Choice Entertainer of the Year (2013) CMSA, Overall Country Vocalist America’s Kids (2012), Local winner of the Texaco Country Music Showdown 2013 and a state finalist, , and winner of Festival Idol 2013, an “American Idol” style competition of the OKC Festival of the Arts. She was featured on KSBI’s Oklahoma Live! Performing 3 songs live on set. In 2013 & 2014, Sierra was honored to win the McSwain Theatre’s Grand award for best 16 and under performer. in 2015 Sierra sang the national anthem for OKC Thunder basketball games.
Outside of singing, Sierra also loves musical theatre and has enjoyed roles in Annie at the award winning Poteet Theatre in OKC as well as roles in Mary Jane Burton’s champion drama program Choctaw High School performances of The Wizard of Oz, Grease the Musical and Beauty and the Beast.
As a side note Sierra has held multiple state titles in AAU Competitive Power Tumbling and is active in her church and several organizations in her school.
