Who says a rock band can't play funk music? Who says a metal band can't play disco? Or reggae? Or jazz?
MorKosmic (moor KOZ mik) - adj. comparatively greater in excitement, inciting frenzy; esp., a grand harmonic climax of and relating to the universe as a whole
A LITTLE BACKGROUND....
...So Tommy moved back to the Berkshires in early February '03 and joined "Hypnology", with Sky (guitar), Lars (drums), Ed Kuni (bass), and Tommy contributing vocals and lyrics. After the breakup of that initial lineup, the band went through various permutations including "Strobe Light Seizure" (introducing Matt Shaw), "Black Mirror Sea", and "The Light of Drowning" (with Justice), then split off for a time toward autumn 2011, until Lars wanted to jam again, which led to Matt resurrecting "The Light of Drowning"...
Meanwhilst, Gabe was honing his craft at various colleges and in several jam, funk, and jazz bands. He later joined fellow Berkshire spoof-curmudgeons The Fallen Starlets for some hijinks and heists, but left because of Lefty. When Sky finally star-crossed Gabe's spectrum the seeds of MorKosmic were sown!
Summer 2012: Sky reached out to Tommy with a gig opportunity, a chance to play at the inaugural "Berkshirestock" festival. They tried consolidating their two bands, changing-up the roles a bit, and found a positive vital energy in the sounds created. Gabe stepped up to wear Ed's hat, Lars fell in love again, Tommy and Sky felt a new freedom in this brand new thang! Thus was born "MorKosmic", an exciting harmonic band of universal misfits, with many others lurking in the shadows in hopes of becoming stars!
