Morgan McKay's "150 Watt Voice" is brewed from many genre experiences over the years. Growing up in Sugar Land, she started country vocal lessons at 8 years old. At 10, Morgan first performed in public at the Strawberry Festival in Pasadena where she won 1st place in competition. She then joined the Texas Opry Network and sang at Oprys such as The Alvin Opry and The Rosenburg Opry throughout the years. In high school, Morgan was in the show choir, "Govenor's Posse", which won state several times while singing and dancing to tunes such as ABBA and Les Mesirables. Although she performed broadway style music with the show choir, she still kept up her country singing on the side. Morgan headed to Nashville with an opportunity to record and shoot a music video that aired in TN and the seven surrounding states under the name of Morgan Taylor. Although successful, she decided to place music on hold to go back to TX to get a degree from Texas A&M. In college, she continued to perform in a classic rock cover band and developed a PSA for the Teens in the Driver Seat division of Texas Transportation Institute which aired all over Texas. Once she graduated, she moved to Houston to develop a career and pursue music. She has performed in several multi-genre cover bands since graduation and now emerges as a solo artist as of late 2012. Her debut album, "The Dawn", was released August 2014.
